Emergency Interventions

If the problem behaviors of a client escalate into crisis behaviors, then safety of all involved is the top priority. In a crisis, you may not be able to follow the general behavior intervention plan, but instead, you may need to switch to the emergency intervention plan until the crisis has deescalated. In this unit, we will go over the stages of behavioral escalation and how you can respond at each level in order to effectively manage a crisis.
