Discrimination Training & Probing
In this unit, we explain how to choose or select the targets to teach. Then we describe what discrimination training is and the various procedures you may follow when conducting discrimination training, such as consolidated steps, simultaneous discrimination, and successive discrimination methods. Finally, we review what probing is and how to probe skills in structured and natural settings.
Participants will learn:
1) How to select targets that they are going to teach their clients,
2) How to identify and use various discrimination steps when teaching,
3) How to probe or test skills in structured and natural settings.
